Folks
I have suspicion about my W204 and l was wondering how to get it checked. I bought it not so long ago but I find it seems to get stone chips very easily on front and back bumpers. Plus, someone said to me that the bonnet doesn't look like it is closed the way it should be. I wasn't told of any damage when l bought it from a local independent trader and l know stone chips are an every day occurrence but I've never had a car so prone to them and it makes me think it may have been painted. Any ideas would be appreciated.

a HPI check won't show a car has had paint put on it unless it is registered as part of an accident claim. Was the car quoted by the seller as HPI clear?

Texting cars details to 'Textcheck' on 83600 is a cheaper than HPI way of finding an answer to whether its been seriously damaged, total cost about £6 i think.

Yes it was. I asked if it had ever been hit and he said that it hadn't.

Also, any decent body shop will tell you if the car has had paint and probably tell you why - as in what was damaged.
