Aviva stuck our renewal up by 10%.

(No rebate offered for the reduced mileage.)

We have gone elsewhere.

And the other interesting factor was that non of the multicar options we tried were cheaper than two separate policies with different insurers. And this is the first time I have ever found it cheaper going via a comparison site.

Judging by the number of insurance adverts in the motoring press it must a good money spinner
Historically a motor account always lost money for Insurers. Things must have changed with the massive influx of competition into the market, which has resulted in largely artificially low premiums, despite what policyholders think. Obviously helped by the fact that most policies are flogged online or otherwise remotely without the need for expensive offices and experienced staff to pay. I would imagine as well that these relatively new entrants hope to flog you household, life , breakdown insurance and similar on the back of a cheap (comparatively) motor cover.
