I have a 1991 300se on which I was paying £140 insurance fully comp, my renewal this year has come in at £400!!!

Can anyone recommend an insurer who can give me a decent quote. I understand all premiums have gone up but up to 3 times the amount!

    This was with Lancaster.

I agree. Still are. But go to moneysupermarket.com and get lots of quotes. Or confused.com

As a family we have 4 cars with LV, 1 with Churchill - young driver, and 1 with NFU mutual. LV best on price but had to put the 124 with NFU to get all year round unlimited EU cover

I insure five vehicles all at different times of the year and the premiums on all of them have gone up between £80 & £150 for no other reason it would appear other than the Ins companies want more money off us all

That vehicle can be easily covered under a classic policy for a sum that is far cheaper than your standard insurance company plus you will get an agreed valuation on the car.

    Try Peter Best Insurance Services.

Just remember they don't do insurance; they are just acting as a middleman taking commission for passing you to a proper insurance company. Cheap to begin with but in the long term parasites put up prices.

I ended up with Sureterm Direct who halved the price. My current insurer never sent me a renewal so I ended up rushing at the last minute.

Thanks for the feedback to everyone.

    Adrian flux £430 not bad
Peter best £209 with breakdown cover :thumb:
Very impressed with their service and price.
Sorry but Adrian flux guy was pushy to the extreme so even though they gave me a good price before I rang Peter best they would not have had my business.
