Just doing the annual process that is the insurance renewal.

Tesco (current insurer have quoted me £320) for another year - so off I went, trawling through all the usual suspects - and I'm getting a pretty consistent quote of approx £312 or thereabouts.

Having seen the lovely Joanna Lumley in lilac on tv telling us about Privilege car insurance - I thought I'd give them a go ....

And sure enough - £240

I did it a 2nd time to make sure it was the right details, and was exactly what I told all the other companies - and sure enough - £240.

I've been through all the small print and cannot find the catch at all.

For the record - fully comp, for business use, Mrs. K as named driver, no immobiliser, drive way parked, unlimited miles, etc, etc .....

What I did find interesting - Esure - who insured the car 2 years ago refused to give me a quote because there's no immoliser.

I am with Tesco and I found that if you go on to their website and get another quote, it is cheaper then the quote they send you for a renewal. I dont know why this is but maybe its worth a try to see how big the difference between the two is.
