..said my sister on the phone last evening as she called to tell us that she plus idiot husband would arrive in a few minutes.

So went outide to capture dogs and Mrs.S opens gates to welcome her sister.

Greeted by the sight of an Audi A6 belching smoke from a siezed front nearside caliper. He had driven a fair number of miles like that and the disc was well red, odd flash of flame as well.

Now the brainless, selfish ignorant fecker is moaning that my local garage (who are very good, came and trailered it away and took a look ASAP this morning) are trying to "rip him off" by, gasp, wanting to change discs and pads on both sides as well as changing out the now well roasted caliper plus sundry associated bits. And it will take a day to get the parts! Outrage! Humpage!

I am also outraged and with severe humpage but for somewhat different reasons. If there was a competition for "Man you would most like to feed to herd of carniverous swine" it would be him:mad:

It's good for the soul, a good old rant!

You should have heard the one I had earlier when my wife said "Now you must make allowances....".

Dogs went and hid under the table

Well they do say love is blind.

A village somewhere is missing a central character if he is round at your place!

Tell him to buy a proper car, next time.

Like a Mercedes....;):rolleyes:

So... Your sister is also your wife's sister? Is there something we should know*?

Sorry - couldn't resist.

Your wife must be a really good liberal/socialist - for thinking of making allowances for such idiocy. Lowest common denominator and all that.

If he's complaining about that then just tell the garage to weld up the off side brake caliper and at least then both sides would match. See if he complains about that!

* or perhaps not

I do hope all is light and affable on the surface.

It amuses me more that way.

Only problem might be he sours your existing good relationship with the local garage. That would really make me ******!
