Hello all.

I’m calling on the combined wisdom of the forum. someone has left their car running and must have taken the key as the dash says key not detected. It’s a Nissan Juke. I can see the start/stop button so thinking I could just turn it off before it runs out of fuel but is there any chance I could set the alarm off? It’s been running for about 40 mins at the place we’re staying in Whitstable and we can’t track the owners! Apparently there was some car shuffling when they arrived so maybe they just didnt realise they left it running!

Cheers all!

I wouldn't touch it if I don't know who it belongs to, could be any number of reasons it was left running including criminal.
Ring the police and let them deal with it.

Thanks pmc, all sorted now. The hotel found the owner and they’ve turned it off. They had forgotten! Must say i was wary of interfering hence posting for a second opinion. Cheers!
