The bumper has not been painted several times FACT
I did not send him 11 texts - FACT
I cannot see the refund in my account - FACT
I look forward to whatever may come. Everything will be proved and then some...

I still think we need to see the pics.

This is a fairly standard scam tbh... Customer procures goods or services then makes a lot of noise far and wide about being dissatisfied and hard done by. The aim is to wear the small business down and get a refund or part refund to make the problem go away and mitigate bad publicity. Customer then has either a free or very good deal from what they have received despite being pleased with the work/item all along.

Forums are a good way to get your voice heard quickly, easily and cheaply to make this scam effective. All very underhand in my opinion but some people just don't care about how it affects people through stress and financial loss. They just care about themselves which is typical of societies ills today.

Forewarned is forearmed!

It would pay anyone involved in any facet of MB fixing to do a forum search of the usernames Kaka / zakh / Studio-City / JaguarPaw / Immortal tekniq / Fuel Distributor Guy / Zak Hussain / Zak Hassan & to maybe make a note of the registration & VIN in the photos below.

Someone who knows Andy should point these photos out to him. From the OP's own thread on BenzWorld, you can see the bumper has been painted at least twice before - Mercedes Benz 190E 2.5-16 Complete Restoration - Benzworld.org - Mercedes-Benz Discussion Forum

Perhaps someone should do a screen save of it before it gets deleted.

Zakh was also a member over on the 190 forum , where I seem to recall him also using the handle Studio-City .

Having just checked , I see he is banned over there too .

From memory , there was a thread with pics of his car .

Wasn't he a photographer .

Oh , just to avoid confusion - is this Andy from Autobarn on the Wirral ? He goes as UKMerctechie on the 190 forum and , having met him , I know he is a very decent guy .

Please see post 200 from renault12ts

On my computer it comes up on the bottom of a page and you may well miss it if you either join the thread late or only go back a couple of posts.

Well posted renault12ts.

SS201 answers your question about which Andy in his post. And it aint the guy on the Wirral.

I have tried staying away from commenting on this thread, but as its drawing to a close ( I hope), all I will say is that everyone that has contributed to the 13 pages and almost 200 odd posts of this thread have unwittingly all fallen into the hands of the OP, who's plan it was to cause a big a stir as he can , as long as he can, by involvong as many members as he can... Ultimately to worry Andy into thinking his good reputation built over many years may lay in tatters....

I think in future, as soon as a 'stay away', 'avoid', 'warning' thread appears, they should be closed by the mods and it be put to the OP that they should explore other avenues.... As a really one sided tirade as this, where the other person is not even here to defend himself, may suffer dire consequences from ones persons crusade to destroy.....

I don't agree with that, vendors can't also have it both ways they can't bask in glory when people are satisfied which generates business and then rely heavily on protection on threads being closed when someone is upset. You are going to have nutters just as equally you have some positive posts that obviously have some connection with the service or company they are recommending.

I hope Andy does not mind...but this is his reply as posted on the other side:

"This is not something that I usually get involved in,especially on a weekend, when I have 4 children to look after, but I feel that I now have to defend position,in regards to Zak Hussain and his 22 year old Mercedes 190E 2.5.He did stress that he is very fussy when it comes to his car.I had no problem with this as I worked for Mercedes UK for 27 years before starting up my own prestige vehicle body shop 5 years ago,and have dealt with many fastidious customers and have always managed to meet theirs and my high standards of workmanship.I was presented with Mr Hussains car befor Christmas,a week when we had a Maserati,Bentley GT and a E63 black series, all of which each customer was extremely pleased with our workmanship.Despite these vehicles, all of my MB trained staff have taken extra care and attention to make his car as perfect as reasonably possible. After picking up his car saying what a great job we had,I later received a call saying he had found a couple of minor marks in rear bumper, sill panel and n/s door panel.I had no hesitation in correcting these items. So this week we have redone these and other things that he has added from original job ie rust in door shut, wiper arm,h/lwiper blades etc, at lot of time and expense to myself (most of work needed a magnifying glass to see!).Again today he has said what a fantastic job we have done when he picked up car today, but did point out a minor blemish on front bumper cover.I also told him about rear bumper which has been painted many times before and the fractures in plastic on lower bumper, which appear when low baked,at first we thought we had not applied enough paint, but this is not the case, for perfection a new bumper is required(you can not paint strip plastic)I would have redone front bumper cover at a later date when convincing, but today have been plagued with 11 texts and a message, with him now threatening legal action and berating me on these forums.I find his over the top OCD behaviour very hard to deal with and it has deeply stressed my family and myself today.BEWARE of this guy he will put you through hell if do work for him! A big thank you to all you guys that have supported me today,if only they warned me of their experiences with him before I got involved! Please be assured that our aim is and always has been to provide a polite and professional service of quality bodywork at reasonable prices."

Will close and rename this thread. I will also contact Andy myself.

OK quick update.

I have spoken to Andy and have given him the option of removing this thread.
