Car phone not working

Hi

I have a problem with the phone in my W211 e-class, its a Nokia 6210i connected to the Mercedes holder.

The phone used to work fine , now all I get is phone not recognised, I am stumped as to where to even start looking. I have not removed the phone from the cradle between when it was last working and now, so I doubt it's the connects that are faulty.

Any ideas?

You haven't removed the phone, but have you done anything at all to any of the electrics? Battery change for example?

If not, then this sounds a little odd. The only starter for 10 I can offer is to remove the phone, possibly also remove the holder, and then re-fit all parts, making sure the ignition is on (position 2) from start to finish. Hopefully this will 'reset' something in there.
