Car Polisher/Buffer

Wow - that's cheap, the machine on its own is about that price in most places.

But why the smaller pads?

I already have some Sonus 4" pads for a small 12v rotary machine my children bought me years ago. They're good for getting into the more awkward places, and I did not want to throw them away. The 3" backing pad was only about £7, the other 2 backing pads came with the machine!

Hopefully daughter is buying me the pads for Xmas - then all I'll need will be some decent weather - and her Honda Civic (black!) to practice on - although first use will probably be polishing / waxing the Porsche as I did a lot of paint correction on it last year.

Have a hunt round the websites of detailers selling DA polishers - I remember seeing one site where you could check your car / year / colour for paint hardness - unfortunately I can't remember which one it was!

Santa is bringing me (actually he's already delivered it to the right number house but in the wrong road and luckily the householder brought it round) this kit: Kestrel Dual Action Polishing Kit - Option 2

Looks expensive compared to the others mentioned here but I've always used Megs stuff so hopefully it'll be OK.

To be honest Rory, that looks a pretty good price with the Megs equipment mate. We should all provide before & after updates once we've had the chance to use the polishers!
