    Hi
As some of you know I recently got a CLK 230K,

Was wondering if its worth using any products such as:

Forte Gas Treatment / Injector Cleaner etc (unsticks stuck tappets etc)

    Valvoline products etc...

what ones do you recommend if any and why...

Is it really needed? - I dont even know if anything is wrong with my car, however I think im getting a crap economy.

Have the fault codes read before buying / doing anything ...

Lots of things can affect economy ... how is the car running ?

sounds a bit erm loud / rough for 2 mins or so, but maybe its a larger engine compared to my audi and stuff, after about 2 mins its very smooth, but i dont know much about merc's you may think otherwise.

I am considering to attend the GTG you mentioned but am wondering if its a little late / too full? as there will be lots of people there many people can give their opinions or take the pee :( ;)

No one will take the p*** , other than at my interior , that none of them have actually seen in the flesh yet !! and you will have a glut of very knowledgeable people in one place at one time who will be able to have a listen and potentially advise .

Have you spoken to Olly yet ?

Hi I also have a 230 CLK and have used Forte treatments when I got the car, used the engine flush and the Gas treatment and I would have to say they worked well, the 230 M111 is not the smoothest engine when its cold but I'm still glad I bought it over the 320, muxch more responsive I think, what sort of MPG are you getting ? I get 24 - 26 around town and 31 on a run if my other half drives it she manages 34 hope that helps some what
