Car
W220 S500L
is there a way of manually increasing the pressure of the airmatic suspension as mine is far too low and compressors packed in and need to get car home its in an 2001 s500l

I don't know about the W220 , but for earlier models , like the W100 and a few others , there was an 'emergency' spacer available which could be inserted to raise the car to a fixed height so that it could be moved , no suspension movement though .

Depending on the setup ( I don't know the model ) you could possibly jack the car up and insert wooden blocks to keep the suspension up ? Not something I would want to drive far with , but in emergency and for a short distance might be OK , or just to get onto a recovery trailer , which is what the ones I mentioned were really for .

Had a compressor pack up on my S320, maybe worth phoning your local MB dealer to ask if it's ok to drive, but I am sure you can still drive it slowly. I drove mine about 3 miles to my local indy to have mine replaced, and I'm sure I wouldn't have done so without checking first.

had to get car recovered could not risk 130m drive leak on one air line and seal gone in compressor
