Car Valuation for pre 1990 car?

Parkers wants me to pay money - yeah right! Where can a I get a rough online valuation?

1989 F Reg Pug 205 GTI 1.9 - call it average miles. A1 condition.

Ball park figure will do.

Looking at Autotrader I'd say max price £1,500 for top condition sub 80k miles in private sale, £1,000 max for top,top condition over 100k miles. Something like that anyway.

Does that sound at all right?

I don't want to see what they sell for, just a book price.

Those prices sound good Jimbo - I'm after a book price that says less though hopefully!!

Owners can have an inflated idea of their car's value (can't we all ), and view them as upcoming classics, or as desirable sportscars. At the moment, they are neither, and only the completely standard, well treated examples will be worth anything in five year's time.

Maybe £1,000 but it would have to be exceptional for that.
