As title, sometimes get ABS and ESP errors and you go to start car and nothing. Unplug the ESP module and it fires immediately on the key and runs but obviously with ESP and ABS errors as the module is not connected.
I swapped out the ESP module with another but its still the same and it does not attempt to start.

I have a friend with a good Snap on Scanner tool but may take a while for him to find the time to drop by.
Any ideas I could try in the meantime?

Does the ESP module have anything todo with the gearbox park signal?

Doesn't even crank with the ESP module in?

Not sure if it has anything to do with Gearbox Park signal.
Yes, when the ESP module is plugged in it will not crank or start, when its unplugged it will.
Seem to have tried everything. Have unplugged all the connectors, inspected wires for breaks, checked contacts for corrosion, cleaned contacts.... still the same.

If you start the engine then plug in the ESP module, does it stall or run?
Have you thoroughly cleaned all the contacts on the ESP connector with a spray cleaner? If not, this is the first step

Clear all DTCs just so you have a clean base to analyse from. In some circumstances, stored historic DTCs which should be ignored, are not. There can also be DTCs which some tools don't detect. This all comes from the fact that the entire ODB system was not designed by computer experts but by car experts....sorry!
There are various ways to clears all DTCs but don't trust any tool. Look it up for your model
