Car won't start

Thanks to Donny Gaz for suggesting the ECU and Saff for the thread. Got the ECU back today with a discounted remap. Repair £295+ £100 for economy remap + VAT. Total £486. Car is a lot more responsive and hopefully will be more economical as well. Thanks to All Parts Specialists in Greenwich (ECU repairs.com) but not forgetting MB Club and it's members for helping me sort it. Just shows the benefit of forums. Cheers Tim. P.s. This problem is one that begins as the car occasionally does not start( starter motor not working) and gradually gets worse and worse.Spurious misleading fault codes thrown up etc etc. One would expect electronics to work or not work but not always the case.
