Hi guys.
I'm looking to replace the rear spoiler on my saloon W204 C63 with a carbon fibre one (probably a duck bill one).

Would appreciate any comments on the below please

  • recommended duck bill spoilers to purchase
  • tips to safely remove the current spoiler
  • decent adhesive to use for the new spoiler
  • any general gotchas to look out for

Many thanks!

One answer from 4- I used double VHB tape from 3M to put my boot lip spoiler on
3M 4611F 19mm wide x 3m length was £8.34 from Amazon
I also used 3M 4298 Adhesion Promoter , 5 pack sponge applicator £11.95 again Amazon
I used IPA to clean the area before hand, you can get that in many places
Not sure where to get the Carbon Fibre bits, I’m sure others will though

It depends on what sort of money you want to pay really. There’s a fair few on eBay that are in the uk and are reasonably priced. Carbon fibre bits from the more high end companies are absolutely ridiculously priced.

Thank you chaps.
I guess this means buying a spoiler from eBay is generally ok quality wise.

Thanks.
What did you use to remove the old adhesive?

Thought about getting your existing spoiler wrapped in carbon fiber effect film? If done well it will be convincing

I always thought the oem spoiler is a bit small. So looking for one that's a bit bigger as well as carbon fiber.
