How much it would cost to add my 25yr old daughter to my wife's Focus policy?

Daughter has just started lessons and would like, after a few more, to get some extra "tuition" and practice using the same car as her AA driving school, a manual Ford Focus.
She has enquired how much extra it would be to added as a named driver on my wife's 2001 Focus valued at around £600.

I'll update tomorrow if anyone cares to guess how much was quoted:doh:

3 goats and a camel
This plus the wife?

Too many variables to guess but having gone through this with my 18yr old son I'd say certainly more than the value of the car?

I ended up with a dedicated learner policy from Collingwood, no more expensive than adding him onto my insurance plus they refunded the unused premium once he'd passed his test. Can only recommend them. :thumb:

£800

Darling Step Daughter has just had her first year insurance renewal arrive. It was a pleasant surprise.

2007 Renault Clio 1.4 manual

Year one aged 17, new driver having just passed- £1,250
Year two renewal (no accidents) £646.00

RH postcode
Fully comp
Limited to 6000 miles (plus bonus for good driving)

TESCO Black Box insurance

Might be worth a look if you're getting quoted silly money.

I'm guessing Rodger is winding us all up. I think the insurance added his daughter to the policy FOC as an act of good will. :D

£1700

I reckon it will be quite low, as I did the same for my daughter when she was a learner.

However, when she passed her test, it was another story!

I think we paid about £30 a month to add her, so about £360 for the year?
