We spend about 3-5K on each 129 that I sell. Thats no labour charges, just parts and paint.
 
Another really stunning big 70's Italian coupe was the Lancia Gamma. Here's a lovely looking example at a far more realistic price (in Italy)

Just watched an episode of this when Drew buys a Jag XKS and a Renault 4, (season 2 episode 5). Reason for my post is, he buys the jag from a collector of MB's!
Some of the gents collection lined up was (if I have this right)
A C124 Brabus E36
A 1000 SEL
A specially commissioned (by some middle eastern Royal family) gull wing SEC to allow release and return of a falcon whilst on the move, even the gear know was a carved into the head of a bird of prey.
A wide bodies SEC

Noticed a MBOC sticker in the windscreen on one of the cars.

Looked like a vey nice (expensive and unique) collection of 80/90s Mercedes.
