Carpet stain protector

Been busy cleaning up the Citroen SM interior. The carpets are quite light and immediately show the dirt quite badly in the pedal area. Has anyone used a stain protector like the 303 High Tech Fabric Guard on their cars to any success?

The wife had staybright on the body work and some kind of Teflon coating on the carpets.
Not sure what it is though? But the staybright coating is hopeless stuff:fail glad it was do as a sale sweetener as I'd of been naffed off if I'd paid for it.
But the carpet coating even repels water for a while

I'll dig her sales bill out and have a look what it's called

Might apply to my carpets too actually

I use 3M Scotch Guard now, cheaper than 303 Aerospace and does the same job.
Now, 3M used to have their own website to buy products, but they closed it and now put all their products through Amazon, great you may say?, but it now costs nearly twice as much!
I finally tracked it down at a fair price from a company called " Viking".
