CarPlay in 2015 GLC

I’ve been researching CarPlay for a 2015 GLC with Audio 20.

So far I have established I can’t get real time traffic info with the built in sat nav as the module is not there, and it doesn’t have the CarPlay module. I have had a quote of £800 to fit a CarPlay module but before I sign up to this would like to know if this is a figure I should expect, or if anyone has had this done or done it themselves for less?

Your car cant have factory Apple CarPlay / Android Auto so it’s aftermarket only im afraid.

Apple CarPlay fitted by comandonline.co.uk is the way to go.

BTW, does your Audio20 have the Becker Map Pilot unit in the glove compartment, of the Garmin Map Pilot navigation software on SD-Card?

The TomTom Live Traffic for Garmin Map Pilot is a subscription that comes with the car - if you buy the latest SD-Card update (£99 from MB) you should have Live Traffic - did the dealer say this won't work for your car?

The system in the car says no Tomtom subscription but mercedes.me says we don't have the module and can't purchase a subscription. The dealer had no idea, the sd updates maps ok.
