Just watched this on catch-up. Very moving.

The surgeon is the guy who did my by-pass at the QE back in June.

What a man.

Carrying a Donor Card is a small thing, but means a huge amount to the patients here.

You know it makes sense.

The son of a friend of mine had lungs transplant... twice. Obviously, he would not be alive today if it was not for the donors.
 
i've heard the problem isn't the lack of donors but it's the lack of infra-structure.

once someone passes you only have a short window to get the organs out of the body and it's hard having the surgeons ready and the courier to take the organ there.

i'm on the donor list anyway.
 
Itś now integrated into driving licenses,just a case of ticking a box.
 
Saw the programme recently and noted that for some organs the window for replacement is up to 24 hours - amazing - as are the Teams who do them.
 
On the register. When I'm gone, nothing is of use to me!
