Hi, I had ordered an i980 to read gearbox temp during fluid change but was instead given the above that I couldn't find the setting for gearbox temp. Is this scanner supposed to have that feature?

Make sure engine is running when you do the diagnostics. Not all systems are checked if engine is off.

I was in the process of doing that but even carsoft site gives an error and won't update the device

Is it a genuine device? Where did you buy it, may need to throw them an email

Solved the issue. managed to update and now it is running. Guy I bought it off on ebay was pretty sh't at helping. And surprisingly carsoft aren't quick in replying to messages either.
