Hi,

I found my 02 sensor disintegrated and the remants have lodged in the Cat. The bits occasionally brake loose and set up a rather nice ;) rattle from under the car. First time I heard it I thought it was big end knock. GULP. lol

Anyway the Car is an 89 and AFAIK does not fall into 92 Cat laws and has a max CO of 3.5%. Mine sits at factory 1.0% Engine is in excellent condition. What I want to do is replace the Cat with a straight through pre-cat section but keep the O2 sensor of course. Has anyone out there done this? Any advice? I'm not sure for a start if the straight through part comes with a bung for the O2 sensor, if not I guess I can just cut it off the old one and weld on the new.

Thoughts?

Cheers,
Neil
