There have been no end of thefts of Catalysts 'round here recently.

All seem to be over-night and many from 4x4s (obvious height advantage).

Is there any way you might be able to prevent this?

I understand my local scrappy pays £40/50 a unit for the platinumn.

:D :D We've been here before, keep the blooming thing indoors at nights, (or locked in the garage)

Sorry about that but you let the cat out of the bag with your last thread

Meeow
John the cheeky

Edit
On a serious note it sounds almost unbelievable that someone would go to such lengths

It must be pretty hard to reove a cat from underneath a vehicle without making any noise - especially in the dark.

Either keep the engine running all night to keep it too hot to touch, let the tyres down or don't drive a bloody 4x4.

Maybe it's the Animal Liberation Front releasing them..

Ere we go.

If they steal the tyres will we suspect Puss in boots?

This explains why i found a stolen mondeo on one of my mowing sites with only the stereo and most of the exhaust system missing. other than that it was in pretty good nick, that is it had a fully formed bumper at either end which is rare on mondeos of a certain age.
