I like to try and do most things on my car myself and of course it saves loads of dosh, normally :p.
My amp, bass tube and CD changer I've had for years and still going strong.
So it's time to install them into the old girl.
I'm OK with the standard speakers that are in already but it does lack some bass / sub bass.

Had to find a route for the phono cables and CD changer cable.
1st take up the foot well carpet and sound proofing to run cables across.

The cable duct looked promising for running the cables through but I couldn't get a fish through.
So ran them along the side of it between the carpet.

Cables in, it's great having battery in the rear of the car so power for the amp is easy.

Route for the amp power is easy as it's between the rear seat edge through to the boot were the amp and changer will be.
That is for tomorrow though.

Done, might I say, that it's by no means a 'professional install' it's in the boot anyway, sounds great.

May be I should remove those self adhesive pads. :p

Even though that old school kenwood amp is built like a tank it's highly discouraged by kenwood to mount it like that due to the lack of cooling...But, IMO as long as you don't "crank" it for long periods, it'll be fine.
