CD changer only plays 99 MP3 Tracks

I loaded my CD changer with 6 CD's with MP3 tracks on them, this weekend. I've noticed that only 99 tracks are seen on the Comand APS unit and only 99 tracks play. The changer then goes onto the next disk.

Small problem I know and in future I'll only put 99 tracks on the CD. In the mean time does anyone know of fix for this irritating minor issue.

Your replies would greatly be appreciated.

Have you tried putting the albums into seperate folders?
The limit might be a limit on the number of tracks in a folder.

I agree - you need to structure folders for your MP3s then it should work better. I know my Blaupunkt unit demands this.

Good call Ted/Pammy but my PC software (Sonic 'Record Now') will only burn 99 tracks to a disc - havn't tried putting them into folders though

But that's got nothing to do with the CD changer. It can't play what isn't there for it to play If your burning software has only burnt 99 tracks then what's the changer supposed to do? Try using folders to see if the software will accept that.

The OPs question appears to be different in that more than 99 tracks are recorded but are not recognised

The putting files into folders did not work for me and my six-disc changer. The head unit will read above 99 but not the changer.

The other peeve of mine is that the COMAND head unit will display track names but not let me scroll through folders of a disc that is in the changer.

Yes thats my gripe as well. Putting the files into folders does not work for me. Looks like its 99 tracks on the disk then.
