Cd player a class

Hi I have A class and cd stopped don't really use it but had cd that I'd not put on USB it would not play just said activating and when I tryed to eject sat saying ejecting it came out next day on 65 plate. Took to MB just buy new one will sort complaint put into MB can do nothing said could have been external influence luck if I've previously had 09 slk cd player OK makes me want to change

Original not tryed to clean as when you it cd in just sits on activating and if you eject come out on its own few hours later on next morning after car starts mb just said you need new unit

Cleaning the lens could help as greenmanslk suggests; the player could be trying to read the disc but having problems which throws up errors & the control software gets mixed up. Certainly worth a try.
