The car is a 300CE-24 not a CE 300 24V to be precise.

I've always wondered what it must be like doing a steep hill start in one of the manuals with a foot operated parking brake. Maybe thats why the manuals are uncommon?

The parking brake is released with your hand, so it is just like any other manual car. It is always the first thing that I get asked about when anybody borrows one of mine.

In Italy there are numerous manual 124s even with the more powerful engines. It was considered wimpish to have an auto although that attitude is changing now. Like many of the european cars it has full climate control. Not sure where you stand with the Lithuania registration.
