center storage compartment info wanted,,

    wondering if i can retro-fit the center roll-top piece (in pic) to mine,, i've got just the storage tray,, with a bit of carpet in the bottom,, anybody done it..???

    it just fixes over the tray and it's only held in with a couple of screws but you need to take the carpet out - retro fitting would be easy.

    Finding the roll top boxes isn't quite so easy and they tend to fetch quite high prices when they are listed on eBay.

    If you can find someone breaking a late W124 with the passenger airbag that centre box was pretty much a standard fitting.

    ive done exactly that recently, mercman has a few of those cubby boxes, give him a call.
