Bought a CLK 320 convertible a month ago. No manual and only hand written service history.
Took it to merc dealer in Cardiff asked them to give it a full service and check everything was in order.
Mercedes did a full service and thoroughly checked everything.
I collected my car the following day and paid merc £895 for service and check.
The service manager told me that everything was now fine however I needed a relay switch which he explained controlled the central locking , FM radio and alarm. And he would telephone me later that day with a price to supply and fit.
I have phoned almost daily for the last 3 weeks but to date have not received a reply.

Does anyone know if I can get this relay and fit it myself and where to locate the damn thing..... Very disappointed with Mercedes and won't be going

Thanks

Radio, central locking

I think I have the same problem. Did you get it sorted?

Hi John H . I eventually got through to merc and they had my car in and fixed the problem,
Apparently it was all down to the siren on the alarm system. They fitted a new siren and now I have FM radio I can unlock and lock my car without having to be up close to the drivers door handle and have a fully functional alarm.
They told me the alarm siren connection had become corroded and that was blowing a fuse which also controlled the FM radio and central locking ... I'm very happy now and Mercedes of Cardiff apologised blaming a computing error, I was charged £175.00 after their maximum discount.
Hope this helps with your problem.
