Central locking not working Mercedes E55 2004 model

Hi there,
the central locking in my E55 W211 2004 model is not working.
A few months ago I started having problems locking/unlocking my car with the key fob.It was working one day,the next it was not working untill it stopped working completely.The same trying to lock/unlock the car from infra red port.
From the centre console pressing the button to lock/unlock the car works always

I tried the following:I replaced the battery to key fob.I had a new key made.I have replaced the antenna amplifier,the alarm siren,the rear sam unit.The wires which connect rear sam and antenna amplifier are good.
Locking/unlocking the car through infra red now works,but not always.It does not work on a very cold day perhaps on a hot day also.
The car was at a Mercedes specialist and they dont know what could it be.

Any ideas??

Just an update.I finally found the solution.There was a wire broken between the rear sam and the antenna amplifier.The mechanic in the past he said that he inspected the wires and found them ok.It seems he did not inspected them properly.I suggested to him that the wires might cause the problem after another member posted on this forum regarding his similar experience.The STAR was showing error codes to the antenna amplifier and alarm siren.May had a problem but could be the error codes were because of the broken wire.

At least its solved. But irritating it was overlooked.
