central locking not working - w124

Hi,
my newly purchased W124 3OOD doesn't seem to have central locking working at all. The drivers door and passenger door open with the key, is there a solution/common problem here?

Under the rear seat squab you will find the central locking vacuum pump. Check all the tubes are connected.

Bear in mind I can only talk a good fix!

can be the fuse, 'C', had that on my 300TD, fuse looked fine at first glance but must have been cracked. I've got the copper ones now, well worth while.
