Central Locking

Hi. I have a 2005 220 Cdi. It was garaged over winter with battery disconnected.
On re-connecting this month the central locking wont work from the key.
Key OK and working (will sometimes open and close everything if near to door handle) and car runs OK.
Checked all fuses (ALL fuses) several times - all OK
Radio reception is perfect.

It has a small aerial on the rear window - I thought this was for the fitted phone, but is this where the fault may lie?

Does the spare key work ?
Have you changed the key fob batteries ?
Is the main car battery in a good state and charged ?
