Centre Armrest Storage W221 - What Opens?

Hi All.

2009 W221 S320CDI LWB

I have an issue where i am not sure what parts of the centre armest actually open. Two side buttons open the top portion from left or right exposing the small space where the B/T module is located.

Question? Does the lower portion of the space open? There are no secondary buttons and I am assuming the fitting of the B/T or the rear climate controls remove this space. Can anyone offer an opinion please?

Yes you can only open the top part of the centre arm rest,it has the phone connection in it,on other models of the W221 S320/S500 you have what you have described as two buttons either side of the centre armrest,but also a button lower down to open a larger space under the top part,I have always assumed that either the electrics or maybe cooling pipework to the rear seats need that space in some models.
