OK so I have today undertaken the task of replacing my tatty aluminium trim on the centre console with a replacement item that I had carbon hydro dipped.
Having struggled with the cup holder blank cover I finally managed to get the old one out and moved all the switches etc. to the new one.
Then when I came to fit it I realise it is missing the rear two lugs that the screws go into. Basically the breaker I got it off must have snapped them off whilst removing it.
So I have decided to cut the ones off my old trim and epoxy them to the new.
Now I just need the strongest epoxy that bonds metal to plastic.
Any ideas. I have some 3M DP 8005 two part epoxy that the 3M site says will bind plastic to metal, but it is primarily a plastic weld so I was wondering if there is any better out there?
