The front discs on my w204 are on their way out and its fair to say I'm disappointed with their life (they have worn quite a lot faster than the first set of pads!). For this reason alone I am wondering whether there are better parts out there than the OE discs?

I've seen a couple of guys fitting zimmermann discs and also recommending ceramic pads...

I understand the ceramic pads reduce brake dust and a couple of reviews say they last longer than normal pads.

Has anyone fitted or contemplated fitting Zimmermann Discs and/or ATE ceramic pads and what are the pro's and con's of changing to such a set up?

(I'm specifically looking at Zimmermann Coat Z discs).

Thanks!

Bosch, brembo and Pagid are good brands, the excessive wear is down to the disk being softer, I have seen disk and pads replaced on facelift w204 from 17k-28k
