hi guys
New to forum so please be patient
I want to change my front passenger seat from 1 to 2
I have started the job but have 2 connectors with nowhere to go.
Iam lead to believe
1 is seat occupancy other is airbag
Now the new seat has no plugs to connect too.
The srs light has come on

Also what complication does this have with log book

And insurance

Any help advise would be greatly recieved

Its an mot fail straight away.

Is there away to bypass or somehow
Turn them off so the srs light goes off

Yes 3ohm resistor inserted into the yellow plug that goes under the seat & then get the SRS light turned off on Star. Job done..

What about the other plug for airbag

Any suggestion what to do there

also it has a low box under auto gear stick
If i remove that to give more leg room
Is there anything attached to it
It is like an open glove box

You need to tell both the DVLA and your insurer about the increase in number of seats ... the insurance may go up as it's now a 'modified' vehicle. I don't believe the Viano ever had the option for 3 front seats?

As an aside we have 3 in the front of our Vito but the centre one is only really usable for reasonably small kids. That's without any kind of centre console. My son is 12 now and has to sit in the back.

I'd have to agree, it sounds more like a Traveliner than Viano, you will have to contact DVLA & produce pictures for them to inspect before they will change anything.
