I have been chasing front suspension noises in my B200 Turbo for 1 1/2 years now. First the front right shock went, then the left one, then a spring, then the ARB bushes, then the drop links and then I finished last summer with the drop links.

Over the winter I thought I was hearing a creaking noise going over speed humps, typical of a rubber bush. Now it is much more obvious and annoying. It appears on both sides although the near side maybe ever so slightly louder.
What could be making that noise now, as Im not sure whats left?

I had a similar noise on mine turned out the wheel bearings just needed adjusting.

That is going to take some reading, lol, but good link thanks. I just skimmed it and read one part saying:
Mercedes do not sell reluctor rings only whole driveshaft at £580.

Parts required reluctor ring £20 Inc postage from:
UK Parts Direct - ABS Reluctor Rings - ABS Sensors - ABS Hubs - The ABS Specialists

It reminds me of the role bar issue I had. I had to replace the whole bloomin' thing which was £100+ and 3 hours labour just to replace a single rubber bush!

I have had the drop links and ball joints replaced but the near side has got a lot worse over the last few weeks now is showing more characteristics such as:

A slight knocking accompanies the louder creaking.

It only occurs when the spring/strut is compresses e.g. when you go over a speed hump.

You cannot hear it when the spring/strut extends, e.g. down a pot hole.

It only occurs when when the whole weight of the car is moved. If there is a sharp undulation in the road and the shock soaks it up while the body of the car remains still you cannot hear it. You can only hear it when the whole car lifts up and down it makes a noise.

I can hear it while flicking the car to the right, e.g. entering a roundabout quickly, which transfers weight onto that corner.

If anyone can please help in anyway from the above I would be hugely grateful as I have spent a fortune on this car and to still have noises is heart breaking.
