I want to upgrade my alloys, but am not sure about the mercedes tyre pressure sensors, will these have to be swopped over from the old alloys, will none mercedes pressure sensors communicate with the warning system in the car or will I have to purchase another set of mercedes tyre pressure sensors for the new alloys.
I will keep to 16's and put winter tyres on them

Are you certain the car is fitted with tyre pressure sensors?

As standard, the car has Tyre Pressure Warning which uses the individual wheel speed sensors to work out if one or more tyres is running low pressure and there are no pressure sensors on the wheels, so nothing to swap. Tyre Pressure Monitoring is a relatively rare option that allows you to display the individual tyre pressures on the central display. This uses a pressure sensor on each wheel, and you'll need to get a set of four for your new wheels if it's fitted.

There's a thread on here in the Wheels & Tyres section where someone has identified a source of OE pressure sensors if you do need them - use the search facility to find the thread.
