While cleaning my W124 I noticed that one of my roof bars was broken. So at some stage I am going to have to change it. How may I ask do you remove the bars from the roof?

the short answer is "with difficulty"

the long answer goes something like this,

1, remove the following trim - centre pillar, rear door frame, rear roof compartment, grab rails, Gas springs (door lifters) and headlining edge protection

now you can unbolt the roof rails - eeeeeeekkkkkkkk

if you've got the CD's is job number 77-500. If you haven't and would like to see the job sheet drop me a line

Hmmmmmmmm thanks guys, looks like I am going to have to do some light engineering here. Like drill into the front of the first support and peg it with some stainelss steel. :( :( :( :( :(
