Changing S212 auxillary battery

I am about to replace the auxillary battery on my 2015 S212 E350.
Is it OK to disconnect/ replace /reconnect or do I need to keep the terminals supplied with power from a slave battery?
Important that I don't loose all the holiday destinations that I have spent hours putting into Command!

I just changed the battery, was a bit concerned about losing data etc, but was all ok, at least for me. Only problem was a bit of a back ache leaning into the boot.
