Hi all,
After reaching the 250000 km,the gear shift bulb has blown out,I searched for changing it and it was an easy job.
I ordered it from local dealer.
First I had to remove the glove box between the two front seats, there were just
two screws inside it and under the key hole, after that I removed the glove box easily.
Second,I put some tapes on the center console to protect it from any unintended scratches.
After removing the glove box,I found a single screw under it ,when you unscrew it the center console wood can then be easily removed, just take care not to break it,lift it slowly.
I wanted to remove the center console buttons from the wood but I couldn't ,I didn't want to use any force so I just put the wood aside with the buttons still attached.
The gear shift casing is the place where I have to search for the bulb.
I found it at the top of the casing near the P notch, just on the left side near the driver's side (my car is left hand drive).
I just pulled the bulb out easily and it was out without any resistance!!!!!
it was in a white socket,I just put the new one and tried it...it worked.
Thank God the job is done
Hope this is of any help to others
