Is there any real problem with down sizing tyre sizes. I have the staggered 18 inch AMG monoblocks 8j and 9j
Original tyre size was (iirc):
265 35 18 rear
235 40 18 front
Since lowering my car to avoid the tyres rubbing the arches I have gone down to:
255 35 18 rear
225 35 18 front
I'm not talking about issues such as reduced comfort, higher chance of curbing wheels, Speedo slightly off..
It's more mechanical things such as abs etc. I ask this because I remember reading something relating to this year's ago but can't find the thread. At the moment I've not had any warning lights just the occasional traction control light when I pull of a bit quick which is normal as the rear wheels are losing grip.
