Cheap 1996 C36 AMG

This could be a cheap buy for someone due to it not having a front bumper !

not if a front bumper really costs 4 figures though - enough to write off a very high mileage car....which is only worth just over £2k complete....I think someone has been suckered into paying too much for that car

If I recall correctly an AMG bumper for a CLK is £700, so I suspect that it would be a similar price for this C36

Inchape sell both the C36 and C43 bumpers for roughly 700 quid each, not including fog lights or brackets for attachment.

More importantly first class cars of the same year can be picked up from dealers even for £4k. Would be fairly certain than any car that has been left in this condition with no radio a dodgy steering wheel and no front bumper has not been the most cherished of cars. Also seems to be short of electric seats and the other usual extras found on these cars.

With no MOT and a cat for one of these costing £3k I would stay well away!

You beat me to it Akash, A standard facelift bumper has been put on but at least the seller is being honest and stating that. Still could benifit with an Avantgarde grill though !

Its also now got an MOT but no catalytic converter.

Someones in for an expensive shock in 12 months time!
