Cheap ATF Dipsticks for 722.6##

A mark at the top of the dipstick would be very useful

I did exactly that on my dipstick - but it's not a very precise mark, I did it as a quick reference to see if the dipstick was in far enough. I just went and measured it and it's in the region of 77cm.

Note this isn't exact, just a rough idea, and it's feasible that the dipstick tube on my car is a different length to yours. I found the whole process of measuring the level very uncertain - I still think mine is a overfilled, but the dealer mechanic insists it's fine.

Just bought the genuine MB item from local MB dealer (Stoke on Trent) for £23 +VAT. I think of this in the same way as I'd buy the ATF I'm measuring, no short cuts.

Could you post the part number? Is this suitable for all 722.6 equipped cars or is it model specific?
