Indeed but when you go see some of these 'cheap 55's, trust me you would not offer 1k let alone more - from those pics you can see it's got bad rust and crapped alloys - only thing worth on that car IMHO is maybe the leather interior

Not even sure it is leather, the door cards are smooth which usually indicates MB_Tex.

As someone else wrote earlier today, and I read with a wry smile, having currently sunk 3grand extra on top of the 2900 I paid for a bargain merc...

sometimes what you say is true, if you pick up a bargain bucket merc you can pay out on them, but sometimes you get lucky.
