Question,
If your car fails it's MOT (but still has time to run on the old one), can you drive away to another garrage to get it fixed then come back for a free re-test?

I ask as it says council run centers don't do repairs

As far as i know, if you get a test done before your old MOT expires you can still drive under the old one.
Thats why it wise not to leave it until the last minute.

As for a free retest? that depends on the garage itself.
