Hi Folks
OK so I have an E320 2009my that has mobile phone pre wiring fitted with Command NTG1. I have a spare Nokia 6020 handset that works, so sourcing and fitting a second user handset bracket B678 758 64 seems like a cheap solution.
The handset would be fitted to the cradle all the time, it would in effect become a permanent car phone. But the handset is old as is the battery so I'd not want this switched on and charging all the time.
My question. With the handset in the bracket but with the ignition OFF & key removed would the bracket continue to charge/power the handset?
When I turn ignition OFF/remove key would the handset switch off automatically or just keep running on its battey?
All opinion/comment/suggestion welcome.
