Cheap W124 CE

I'd of had that if I didn't buy the Astra, though it would defeat the purpose of buying a cheap car :o.

Looks ideal for the money providing there's no nasties.

You can sell those aero 1s and the wheel for nearly the buy now price

But it wouldn't look as good!

Besides I need to concentrate on my company and it's "advertisement" vehicle. When I become successful I'll have a AMG 300-24CE though.

A TV or a laptop, certainly brings it into perspective when you can have a car, but not only a "car", it's a Mercedes Coupe and a seemingly nice (from pics) one at that, with a 3.0 straight 6, leather and the other toys!

mine is cheaper than that !!!

Some rare period AMG items on that car, the wheels for one then theres the AMG steering wheel and AMG ductail spoiler. Cars also been facelifted at the front too.

A cheaper one came into a local scrappy last month ! 1990 with 140k on the clock and nice metallic blue paintwork.

Should there be AMG centre caps with these too? If there should they are missing and they are 60mm not standard Merc sizes no?

I was told told they`re hard to find

£560 winning bid.....far less than the original buy it now that appeared to have been taken off. Bargain eh !!!!

I was going to have a punt at this but the seller got back to me quite late with a phone number.

Check out the result on the 300CE that went through Barons Last week:

Results, Barons, Sandown Park, March 23rd

Our busy sale at Sandown Park on March 23rd saw 73% of the cars on offer find new homes.

We had a really varied selection of classics and collectors’ cars from the 1920s up to more recent years, which generated a lot of interest from enthusiasts, and there was a good atmosphere in the room.Catalogues sold out and nice cars made good money. Unusually for us there were very few Jaguars on offer - but that’s because many owners were holding them back for our dedicated Jaguar Heritage sale next month.

The strikingly glamourous, immaculate 1951 Chevrolet Styleline DeLuxe BelAir 2 Door Sedan sold for just under £25,000 and the rare RHD 1973 Porsche 911T 2.4 Targa for £20,130, while two beautiful Alfa Romeos - a 1967 Boat Tail Duetto Spider 1600 and a 1970 Alfa Romeo 1300 Giulia-Stepfront GTA Replica - achieved £15,660 and £15,100 respectively.

Other notable lots included a fine 1979 Aston Martin V8SIII with Harvey Bailey handling kit (£19,000) and a head-turning bright red 1967 Ford Mustang GT Coupe (£10,350). Another 1970‘s automotive icon, a 1978 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow II which had covered just 36,700 miles from new, exceeded top estimate, selling for £13,200.
