You know that I usually pamper my car and many of you are familiar with it. Having just returned from another Scotland trip the car is pretty filthy despite an emergency jet wash and so I decided to cheat today and let Tom (my car valet man) do it for me. Subject to the rain holding off we'll see how the day goes! (Tom started at 11.30am)

Wow, he/you actually clean the inside walls of the wheels! Impressed! (I would too if mine were accessible!).

I wish I could aswell, even though my alloys are big enough to fit a hand in, my brake discs (which are huge) wont allow me to :(

Another case for getting 19"s I guess :D

Yeah like that. I'd love to have inner wheel vanity but my wheels themselves (not the brakes) prevent it.

Small wheel woolie will do that and they also do an angled one to get behind the spokes

I have 19" 5 spoke CLS alloys and they are pretty easy to keep clean from inside....I do have these long handled brushes which make it easier around the calipers.

I bought the wheel woollies after seeing a post one here about them, they are excellent, BUT even the small one does not fit between the calliper and wheel so have to move the car to get it done properly

Apologies for the break in updates, I've been out to lunch meanwhile Tom has finished the washing stage.

PS Slight bad news, a light scratch was under the dirt. More later.

1.15pm (1hr 45min in) and the wheels are finished and sealed with AG Wheel Sealant (which is what I use every time I do them)

Take the wheels off, also gives you the chance to clean the springs too:thumb:

LOL. No I'll still do my car but today I needed to catch up in the office. Work and family life have gone a bit nuts of late hence some changing of priorities.

2 hours 45 min in and Tom has done the interior, hoovering, plastic dressing, door shuts and boot. That just leaves treating my leather interior with Gliptone and then a finish off with detailing spray. There is something very pleasing about seeing your car get better and better as the day goes on.

Greg does Tom do any convertible roof cleaning and proofing?

Tony.
