Check out this Jag XJS 5.3 V12! Interesting!

Lovely condition. I used to have a facelift V12 XJS in '96. Was one of the most loved cars I've had.

Tyres are useless if original. Unless you're planning on putting it in a museum you'd be better off buying one that had been used and had the plethora of usual problems fixed. I watched my neighbour plough £10k into his and it was still swallowing money.

I find it odd that amongst everything else, it only has some of the old mots and invoices?

I've owned three XJS's over the years & whilst the story of this particular car is rather unique & the mileage low, this car really isn't worth very much. Before Ford bought Jaguar & facelifted the model it was still beset by problems - albeit far less than before Sir Jogn Egan took control back in the early 1980's.
To my mind if you want to keep an XJS which I'm certain will ultimately achieve Classic status, then you really want it to be as late a car as possible. You either want one of the last 4 litre cars featuring the AJ16 engine or one of the six litre beasts - both of which feature the later GM400 four speed auto gearbox. In my book the cars to avoid are the 3.6 & 5.3 litre (although that said I'd love a last of the line Series III V12 circa 1991/1992 :thumb:).
If only they'd offered a supercharged version of the AJ16 engine in the XJS (as they did in the X300 XJR) it would've been perfect - unfortunately that was ruled out as it would've meant the car was quicker than the soon to be launched Aston DB7 which was essentially an XJS in drag.

It's more or less has been a museum peice all it's life already. It would almost seem a shame to start actually using it now.

I saved this guy as a favourit seller a while ago after he bought my mates old BMW...i must admit he puts a good advert together and really has sold some absoloute treasures........:D
Check his history of recent sales...it's like the cars have just rolled off the production line.
